No, he's not named after Skywalker either. (Although he's the right age for it...)

The 1-yr pictures are really cute!

Summer
www.summerlouise.comAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5895312.post-1131997289161955082005-11-14T14:41:00.000-05:002005-11-14T14:41:00.000-05:00Oh, well you all know that my child got her name b...Oh, well you all know that my child got her name because I'm a huge "Little Mermaid" fan. Yesiree - I love the movie so I named her after the villian. We keep waiting for her to turn purple and grown some extra appendages, but so far, nothing. Darn.

(seriously, I never thought of Luke Skywalker - it's just a very nice name. Now, Jean-Luc may have made me wonder...)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5895312.post-1131978282853473152005-11-14T09:24:00.000-05:002005-11-14T09:24:00.000-05:00It never even occured to me to ask or wonder if Lu...It never even occured to me to ask or wonder if Luke was named after anyone. My Luke was named from the Bible (Luke ...I hear ya! My Luke was named from the Bible (Luke Elijah; we've got both testaments covered ;) ). My DH will occasionally joke around and do the whole "Luke I am your father" thing, but ours wasn't named after Star Wars either. We get asked, though, so I sure do know where you're coming from.Jill in CAhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16990626648061890145noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5895312.post-1131650525716038152005-11-10T14:22:00.000-05:002005-11-10T14:22:00.000-05:00I understand.People kept asking us if Marcus had b...I understand.

People kept asking us if Marcus had been named for Marcus Cole in Babylon 5.

Our answer was the same. Never even occured to us.

It was my suggestion, after reflecting that Mark didn't work for me, my brain slid along to Marcus. If there was any particular inspiration, it was Roman emperor Marcus Aurelius, who I actually know very little about, but a character in a book I liked greatly admired him.

So I promise, I'll never ask you about Luke.Kerryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01829070558793881064noreply@blogger.com
