Someone asked where to find these timers. I know they can be purchased from Amazon or Wind and Weather. I believe it is officially called the "The Miracle Cube Timer by Datexx," if you want to Google it.

I'm considering a crafty 12 Days of Christmas, if I can get my crafting mojo working in time to crank out 12 handmade somethings by then. I would probably do it the first 12 days of December. Still pondering.

Someone asked if they could post about the giveaway on Facebook instead of a blog for a second entry. I will give a conditional yes, the condition being that if you could limit who sees the post (using your friend lists), I would appreciate it. I know, that doesn't seem fair, but I'd really rather it go to a faithful reader of my blog or a faithful reader of your blog (or actual personal friends on Facebook), not that kid from 3rd grade that you don't really remember but you didn't want to deny the friend request. Am I making any sense? I guess what I'm saying is to use some judgment around where you post about the giveaway if you are doing it somewhere other than your blog. Thanks!

(I couldn't even decide whether or not to type, let alone post, that last paragraph, but it really is how I feel, so I'll put it out there. Hope you don't now think I'm an awful person!)

Giveaway: Cube Timer

After watching so many people have so much fun doing giveaways last year on their blogs, I decided I wanted to do one this year, but I had no idea what to give away. Then I got my cube timer for Christmas. I mentioned it in that post, but I'll describe it here again.



The cube timer bills itself as "the world's simplest timer." (I borrowed the picture above from Amazon.) It comes with 4 pre-set increments: 5 minutes, 15 minutes, 30 minutes, and 60 minutes. With the 0 side facing up (on the top face), the timer is off/ready. To set, turn the cube so that the desired number of minutes is on the top. A single beep will sound and a red light will begin to blink. The bottom of the timer shows the countdown (and has an on/off switch). When the timer goes off, set the cube so that the 0 is once again on top, and the beeping stops. I am totally in love with it, and I thought you might find it useful as well. Considering a Giveaway

I love my little cube timer so much (see previous post), I'm considering doing a giveaway for one to start the new year. (No affiliation, just a happy user!) What would you all think about that? I've been considering several giveaways for next year, but this one just seemed obvious. I know it's not necessarily stitching related, but is that okay? Thoughts? Opinions?
