Hazy shade of winter

This morning, I drove through some of the worst fog I have ever seen in my life. It was worst near my house. I literally could not see more than about 300 feet (91 meters). It was terrifying. I don't think I got much above 30mph until we were well away from the house and on our way to daycare. Here is the view from my back deck around 9 AM after I got home:

Quite a difference, no?
