- Mar 1, 2017 - Not where I planned to be today. Luke rolled his foot yesterday, so we're having it checked out. What we thought might be a twisted ankle turned out to be a possibly fractured foot bone! If it's not better by Friday, he'll have to have x-rays.

until nearly intermission to figure out that he already knew Jeremy
Jordan (he's Winn on Supergirl).

- Feb 11, 2017 - Luke loves to eat outside, but it's usually too hot, too cold, or too pollinated! But Grub Burger Bar has a very nice covered porch, and it was unusually warm on this February afternoon, so burgers (and chicken fingers) outside it is!

- Jan 24, 2017 -This is "our" outside cat. Not really. We think it belongs to our next door neighbor, but we're not really sure. And it does spend a lot of time at our house. It especially likes hanging out on top of our carport columns (roughly 10 feet tall), using our vehicles as a ladder. I guess it's warmer up there. It won't ever let us get close enough to pet it, though.

- Jan 13, 2017 - My first supremed orange. It was both easier and faster than I expected.
- Jan 14, 2017 - Up at (literally) dark-thirty to send him off with the Boy Scouts for the long weekend. He gets to spend the night on the USS Alabama!
- Jan 15, 2017 - New restaurant for lunch: Grub Burger Bar. Very good, we'll be back!
- Jan 16, 2017 - Kylo always seems to know when I need purr therapy.
- Jan 17, 2017 - Needed some supremely intense pink in my life. Forget Now by Sinful Colors.
- Jan 18, 2017 - Well, it took 18 days, but I officially worked my way up to walking one mile (1.6 km) today. I was still moving faster than a bunch of the cars sitting in traffic! (I could see the interstate from my route.)

- Jan 7, 2017 - What happened to our snow? All we got was sleet and freezing rain. That's no fun.

- Jan 12, 2017 - I tried to shortcut one of my favorite recipes that is very time and labor intensive. It turned out okay. Still good, but not nearly as good as the real thing.

- Jan 4, 2017 - Christmas gift from my parents: large Calphalon pot (to replace my rusty enamel one). Didn't think the strainer lid would actually work, but I drained these noodles with no trouble at all!
- Jan 5, 2017 - Sneaker Survivor! Winners: blue/white New Balance and first ever pair of Brooks.
- Jan 6, 2017 - Luke's reaction to discovering Siri (voice activated controls on the iPad). I think we've created a monster!

- Dec 26, 2016 - The round of Double Twelve Dominoes where I scored 65 in a single play!
- Dec 27, 2016 - Rey decided to "help" with the waffles this morning. I went to the refrigerator to get the eggs, and when I turned around, I saw her head down in the flour bowl. It wasn't until she lifted her head that I realized she had her front paws in there, too! I had to grab her before she ran off and got flour *everywhere.*
- Dec 28, 2016 - First kitten casualty. The lid for this is now in my trashcan in hundreds of pieces.
- Dec 29, 2016 - Why was the bowl moved 15 ft (4.5 m) from the laundry room into the kitchen?
- Dec 30, 2016 - So much for stitching! Good thing she's so stinkin' cute.
- Dec 31, 2016 - Happy New Year's Eve! Wishing you all a most wonderful 2017.
