11 Things

The Rules:
  • Post these rules.
  • You must post 11 random things about yourself.
  • Answer the questions set for you in their post.
  • Create 11 new questions for the people you tag to answer.
  • Go to their blog and tell them you’ve tagged them.
  • No stuff in the tagging section about you are tagged if you are reading this. You legitimately have to tag 11 people.

11 Random Things About Me:
  1. I'm such a boring person, I'm not sure I can think of 11 random things that anyone cares to read about! LOL
  2. My favorite form of music is probably movie scores. John Williams is my favorite composer, but I also really like Jerry Goldsmith, Hans Zimmer, Michael Kamen, James Horner, Alan Silvestri, John Barry, James Newton Howard, and Randy Newman. Sometimes I can identify the composer of a score just by listening.
  3. I am also quite good at identifying people only by voice. I love watching animated films and trying to guess who is speaking.
  4. Despite having lived in The South my entire life, I do not care for country music at all.
  5. I played flute and piccolo in high school.
  6. I was invited to audition for a professional handbell group, but I turned them down since I was about to get married and I didn't want to do all that traveling.
  7. At one point during my childhood, my hair was long enough for me to sit on.
  8. Until age 9, my hair was all one length and had never been cut (other than to trim off the tangly baby hair from the ends).
  9. I still use my very first original email account that I've had since I was 18 or 19.
  10. I am a chronic list maker, though it does not fit at all with my Myers-Briggs personality type. Proof some "personality traits" can be learned!
  11. I am a very messy person. This seems to really surprise people. Everyone always seemed surprised that my work desk was a wreck; they just assumed I was a neat freak. I have no idea why!

My Answers to the 11 questions from Melissa:
  1. What’s the most memorable vacation you’ve ever taken? Probably our most recent trip to Boston with my family. We had a great time and did all sorts of fun stuff. Luke is still asking when we're going to go back. (Need to finish the blog write up on it before I forget more about it than I already have!)
  2. What’s your dream vacation? Which dream do you mean? I have several! LOL Place I've always wanted to go: Vatican City. Ideal form of a true "vacation" (vs "trip" like we usually take where we need a vacation when we get back): some place cool (not cold!) and calm and quiet, which likely means going without the child.
  3. What’s your favorite childhood memory? There are several, so it's hard to pick. I still remember our trip to Washington DC, though.
  4. What’s something you’re good at doing? Excellent question! Um, I'll get back to you. No, seriously, um... this is going to sound strange, but I am *really* good at untangling knotted necklaces.
  5. What’s your favorite hobby? My favorite general hobby is watching movies. Doesn't sound like a hobby to some people, I know, but I genuinely *love* movies and will watch them as often as I can, new ones and old favorites alike. In terms of crafty hobbies, I'd have to go with temari, even though you wouldn't know it from my lack of output. I find them so beautiful and fascinating, and they're really fun to stitch.
  6. Do you read recipe/cooking websites or blogs? If so, what’s your favorite? Yes, and I have a few too many favorites. For creativity and beautiful photography, I'd have to go with SmittenKitchen. Even if I wouldn't make a lot of her food (her tastes and mine are quite different), it is still a fascinating read, and the few things I have made were excellent. I've been following her blog since before her son was born, and he's about 2 and a half now. For posting lots of recipes that are right up my alley (quick and simple) and that I might actually try (and I have tried several), it's probably PlainChicken, which I discovered through Pinterest.
  7. Do you have a favorite quote? If so, what is it? I wrote down this quote probably 20 years ago, but I wasn't smart enough to record who said/wrote it. I still love it, though. "We live in a universe, not a multiverse. Among other things, this means that science, engineering, the search for justice, the search for beauty, and the search for holiness are interrelated."
  8. Are you afraid of anything? If so, what? Specifically, any sort of harm coming to my son. Just the thought of it terrifies me. I don't walk around all the time crippled by fear, but every time the phone rings and it's the school, my heart jumps up in my throat.
  9. What book are you currently reading? Um, uh, er... I'm supposed to be reading, too? LOL I do actually have a book on the go. It's easy to pick up and put down, perfect for the rash of doctor appointments I've had lately. It's called A Mystery of Errors, by Simon Hawke. It is a fanciful imagining of the early life of Shakespeare (before he's a famous playwright), where he and a compatriot become involved in a local mystery. I picked it up from the bargain table several years ago. It's quite cute, very light, and quite a bit of fun. I'm about 1/3 through it so far.
  10. What are you most grateful for? That I generally lead a very high quality and contented life. Even my stressful times (so far, knock wood) have been minor compared to what many people go through. Much of that happy and stable life comes from the world's most amazing husband, and my awesome parents and brother. I would truly be lost without them.
  11. What can make you happy when you’re feeling blue? Hearing my son laughing. I can't not smile when he's that happy. It's such a great sound!

Year in Review Meme - 2008

I've seen this is several places. May as well play along.

1. Where did you begin 2008?
At home, same as usual, and I officially really started my new job (hard to believe it's been a year already).

2. What was your status by Valentines Day?
Sick!

3. Were you in school anytime this year?
Unless daycare counts, no.

4. Did you have to go to the hospital?
Um, I don't think so, no. Wow, that's so nice! We've been there rather too often in recent years.

5. Did you have any encounters with the police?
Yes, on Christmas Eve! LOL Other than that, I don't think so.

6. Where did you go on vacation?
Disney, as usual. We really will go somewhere else one of these years, I promise(just not in 2009; that Disney trip is already bought and paid for).

7. What did you purchase that was over $100?
Do I really have to answer that? If travel counts, then Disney no expiration tickets (that will last us several years) and our Disney 2009 trip package (paid in full before the end of the year to get a special rate). This was also technology upgrade year for us, something we seem to do every 4-5 years: two new laptops (to replace the 4+ year old crashing desktop and the cranky laptop), a Blu-ray player in the form of a PS3, and a new plasma television (for which the HDMI cables were nearly $100 each, but not quite). It's good to have money in a sorry economy!

8. Did you know anybody who got married?
Cyndi and Matt! I think that's it, really.

9. Did you know anybody who passed away?
My great aunt.

10. Did you move anywhere?
No.

11. What sporting events did you attend?
Atlanta Braves spring training game.

12. What concerts/shows did you go to?
LOL! You're kidding, right?

13. Describe your birthday.
DH gave me a beautiful necklace (more of a combo birthday/10th anniversary gift) and took me to eat Japanese. I'm sure there were also cards.

14. What is the ONE thing you thought you would not do, but did, in 2008?
Buy a new TV. Thought that was going to wait until we moved.

15. What have been your favorite moments?
The hilarious conversations with my son. I love seeing the world through his eyes.

16. Any new additions to your family?
Not our immediate family, no. BIL and SIL decided to make me an aunt, though!

17. What was your best month?
Difficult to say. Either November or December, I think.

18. Who has been your best drinking buddy?
I don't drink.

19. Made new friends?
I'd like to think so, and I got re-aquainted with several old ones via Facebook!

20. Favorite Night out?
The entire day and night that DH and I spent at the movie theater for our anniversary. It was great!

21. Other than home, where did you spend most of your time?
It would either be my parents' house or Target (can't believe I'm admitting that).

22. Have you lost any friends this year?
Drifted away a bit from some, grown closer to others. Just the natural ebb and flow of life.

23. Change your hairstyle?
Ha! Um, no.

24. Have any car accidents?
Thankfully no.

25. How old did you turn this year?
32

26. Do you have a New Years resolution?
Try not to get so annoyed with poor decisions made by others, since I have no control over their actions. I can only control my reactions.

27. Do anything embarrassing?
I'm sure, but nothing in particular comes to mind.

28. Buy anything from eBay?
One of DH's Christmas gifts (a replacement Darth Maul LEGO keychain), and I think that's it.

29. Get married or divorced?
Nope.

30. Get hit on?
You're kidding, right?

31. Been snowboarding?
It's more likely that I got hit on, LOL!

32. Did you get sick this year?
Seems like I spent most of the beginning of the year sick (or hurt with my hip), but the rest has been okay.

33. Are you happy to see 2008 go?
It was a pretty good year, so I can't say that I'm chomping at the bit to see it gone, but I'm looking forward to 2009 as well.

34. Been naughty or nice?
Mostly nice.

35. What are you looking forward to most in 2009?
A whole week at Disney! I absolutely can't wait.

I've been running a low-grade fever for a few days now. (I think Luke has a touch of the same thing. He's been awfully quiet and cranky lately.) What are you doing tomorrow? Same thing I do every week, try to get some work done

The iPod Shuffle

I don't have an iPod, but DH's phone does function as an MP3 player, and we loaded it with music we both love, so I'll use that. Originally seen on Valerie's blog quite a while back, but I was reminded of it today by Belinda posting some results to hers. Not much else to talk about right now, so may as well play. I'll leave this up until Friday, Nov 14, then give the answers.

The problem with a few of mine is that the title of the song is the first line! I'm going to try to work around that somehow, so I may bend the rules just a touch.

And if you have time, you should watch the emoticon at the bottom all the way through. It takes about 20 seconds or so, but I think it's pretty funny.

Step 1: Put your iPod or whatever on random.
Step 2: Post the 1st line from the first 30 songs that play, no matter how embarrassing the song. And it doesn't have to be perfect if you can't understand the lyrics word for word.
Step 3: Let everyone guess what song and artist the lines come from.
Step 4: Bold the songs when someone guesses correctly.
Step 5: Looking them up on Google or any other search engine is CHEATING!

1. Just when I believed I couldn't ever want for more Heather got it.

10. I've been living with a shadow overhead , I've been sleeping with a cloud above my bed [final version] Melissa C. got it.
11. Jessie is a friend, yeah I know he's been a good friend of mine [virtually unknown cover version; will accept original artist] Annette got it.

Not much to tell

"On the molecular level, I'm really quite busy"

This quote has been running through my head this week. Work is still quite busy with us turning up all those projects that were on hold for weeks/months. Most are going smoothly; a few have even turned up early, and a few are giving us tremendous headaches. Just plugging along as best we can.

Consequently, I'm pretty tired when work is over and I don't feel like doing much. However, I have been thinking a lot about all sorts of things, like up-coming events, planning Luke's birthday party (way behind there), trying to get a jump-start on the holidays, determining what home improvements need to be made before we can move, etc. So I am mentally very busy, even if it looks like I'm just sitting here.

So not much to tell, really. Instead, I thought I'd throw out a meme I saw on Krista's blog several months ago (I keep them bookmarked for occasions such as these).

Movie Quotes Meme - Answers

BTW, today has been much better than yesterday. Thanks for all the hugs many of you sent my way!

Wow, you all did remarkably well! Only one was left, and it is really a rather obscure movie that most people haven't seen, but my family totally loves it. And I had two posts in the comments from someone listed only as Anonymous. I don't know if it was the same anonymous person, or two different ones, so I am listing them as #1 and #2.

1 - from Galaxy Quest - "Well forget it! I'm not doing it! This episode was badly written!" Cris (elfinlady) got it.

2 - from Hitch - "Right. Well, see, I'm more of a literal kind of guy. So when I do this... This is more like me saying that I will literally break your wrist off if you ever touch me again. Okay, pumpkin?" - Melissa (missycor) almost got it, and Anonymous #2 got it

3 - from Apollo 13 - "Those people don't put one piece of equipment on my lawn. If they have a problem with that, they can take it up with my husband. He'll be home... on FRIDAY!" - Jenni (thermalgal) and my mom

4 - from Contact - "Ellie, still waiting for E.T. to call?" - Lisa (in Wa) got it

5 - from Toy Story - "One minute you're defending the whole galaxy, and, suddenly, you find yourself sucking down Darjeeling with... Marie Antoinette and her little sister." - Jenn (sewunicorn) got it

6 - from The Incredibles - "Supermodels. Heh! Nothing super about them... spoiled, stupid little stick figures with poofy lips who think only about themselves." - Annette got it

7 - from Pirates of the Caribbean: Curse of the Black Pearl - "You seem somewhat familiar. Have I threatened you before?" - Lisa (in Wa) got it

8 - from Playing By Heart - "You can't treat people the way you treat them and then say something adorable like that." - No one got it, which isn't really a surprise

9 - from Star Wars - "Don't call me a mindless philosopher, you overweight glob of grease. - Lisa (in Wa) got it

10 - from Shakespeare in Love - "Not the artful postures of love, not playful and poetical games of love for the amusement of an evening, but love that... over-throws life. Unbiddable, ungovernable - like a riot in the heart, and nothing to be done, come ruin or rapture." - Valerie got it

11 - from Sleeping Beauty (Disney) - "Good gracious! Who left the mop running?" - Jenn (sewunicorn) got it

12 - from Demolition Man - "Mellow greetings. What seems to be your boggle?" - Anonymous #2 got it

13 - from The Princess Bride - "It's not my fault being the biggest and the strongest. I don't even exercise." - Annette got it

14 - from Jurassic Park - "I don't believe it! You're supposed to come here and defend me against these characters and the only one I've got on my side is the bloodsucking lawyer!" - Anonymous #1 got it

15 - from Dead Poets Society - "Phone call from God... Now if it had been collect, it would have been daring!" - Ina and David got it

Movie Quotes Meme

Only 1 left. Wow, y'all are doing well so far! A couple of wrong guesses, but mostly correct. I'm sure some of you could have guessed a few more, so thank you for saving some guesses for others. Makes it more fun when more can play! LOL

This was fun, and a whole lot harder than I would have thought (given that I'm sure people, like me, are trying not to pick the obvious quotes). Surely this is something I would be good at, but even knowing that there had to be a quote from one particular movie on hers, I couldn't find it (in my defense, we don't have the movie in question on DVD). Snitched from Annette’s blog:

1. Pick 15 of your favorite movies.
2. Go to IMDb and find a quote from each movie.
3. Post them here for everyone to guess.
4. NO GOOGLING/using IMDb search functions.
5. Strike it out when someone guesses correctly, and put who guessed it and the movie.

Tag day

Lots to write about, from RenFest and Memorial Day. Just not enough energy right now to do them up proper with pictures and all. So memes for today.

I've been tagged twice. Once by Krista, for which I will point her to this post, which even gets her a bonus item (the original one I did asked for 8). Not sure I can come up with 7 more things people don't know; I'm just too boring! It's pretty much all out there on the blog already.

Also tagged by Heather, and I don't remember doing this one previously, so here goes:

"The rules of the game get posted at the beginning. Each player answers the questions about him/herself. At the end of the post, the player then tags 5 or 6 people and posts their names, then goes to their blog and leaves a comment letting them know they've been tagged and asking them to read your blog. Let the person who tagged you know when you've posted your answer."

1. What was I doing 10 years ago?

Heather said she had to go back to the Christmas letter she wrote to remember. Me? That is an exceptionally easy question! The end of May 2008, I was turning in my two quarter long senior design project at Georgia Tech, cleaning/starting to pack my dorm room, trying to decide what I would wear to my graduation, putting the finishing touches on the wedding plans for the first weekend in July, trying not to fret about whether or not my brother would be back from Europe in time to walk me down the aisle, apartment hunting for a place to live after graduating/wedding, looking for my first "real" job, and going to the hospital for an ultrasound to make sure I *only* had a muscle cramp severe enough to tear the muscle in my calf, as opposed to a DVT clot that would require hospitalization and blood thinners, possibly causing me to miss both graduation and my wedding. A very slow and non-stressful time of my life, no? (snort)

2. What are five things on my to do list for today?

Only 5?
* RSVP for the Bachelorette Weekend for a friend. (Done)
* Update Netflix queue to keep us occupied this summer without TV shows (besides The Closer).
* Write blog post about RenFest, hopefully to post tomorrow.
* Write up full and complete Movie Musings on three most recent movies: Iron Man, Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, and The Bourne Ultimatum.
* Sort through accumulated non-bill mail from the last couple of weeks.

3. Snacks I enjoy...

Are there snacks I don't enjoy? Most anything chocolate and caramel (Twix, Rolos, Milk Duds, Milky Way, turtles, etc), pretzels, grapes, Nilla wafers (and they must be Nilla brand), popcorn, Sweet Minglers (WARNING: recipe is evil evil evil and supremely addictive! I personally prefer it with double the peanut butter and minus the peanuts), Rice Krispy Treats, I could go on....

4. Things I would do if I were a billionaire...

Quit my job (terrible that is at the top of the list, no?), secure a plentiful college fund (and maybe private school fund) for Luke, sell this house (no matter what the loss) and buy a new one (not hugely larger, but in a better location), hire lawn folks to care for new house's yard (so it doesn't end up bare dirt except for the weeds, like this one), pay off houses for family and/or for moving for them, replace worn out cars for family. After that, arrange for someone smarter than me to manage the funds and make sure there is plenty for travel (England and Vatican City are supremely high on the list, as is Australia) and not working! Then I'd move on to charitable contributions: Parkinson's research and ALS research would be first (diseases that have taken people I love), not sure where it would go after that.

5. Places I have lived...

How many do you want? North Carolina and Virginia, plus in Georgia: the Atlanta area (5 different suburbs (two of them I was too young to remember), plus downtown), Macon, Walton County, Brunswick, Statesboro.

6. What jobs have I had...

Video counter clerk (only 2 weeks), bookstore, administrative assistant (truly; not a secretary), computer lab assistant, inventory system designer, data analyst (the true passion of my work life), project manager.

7. Peeps I want to know more about...

Oh, tag yourself! LOL Just leave me a comment if you decide to participate.

Food Meme

This one was new to me.

01. CHEESE or CHOCOLATE? Ouch! Start with a hard one why don't you? Do I really have to choose? I'm not sure I can! Honestly, I might have to go with cheese.
02. BLUEBERRIES or STRAWBERRIES? Blueberries. Don't care for strawberries.
03. COFFEE or TEA? Tea, preferably ice cold and so sweet that even normal humans go into diabetic shock.
04. CORN MUFFIN or ENGLISH MUFFIN? Corn muffin. Hey, I'm a Southern girl!
05. PANCAKES or FRENCH TOAST? That is completely dependant on my mood.
06. YOGURT or CREAM CHEESE? Really don't care for either straight up. I like cream cheese in things, though.
07. RICE or PASTA? Plain? Rice. With stuff? Pasta.
08. CAKE or PIE? Cake.
09. GROUND BEEF or GROUND TURKEY? Depends on the application. Things with lots of other flavors (like tacos) are fine with ground turkey (breast, please!), but some things (like my Salisbury Steak recipe) just aren't the same without the beef.
10. HOT DOGS or HAMBURGERS? Baseball game? Dogs. Otherwise, burger.
11. JELLY or MARMALADE? Jelly.
12. AMERICAN CHEESE or SWISS CHEESE? American. Swiss only in very partiular recipes.

14. LEMONADE or ICED TEA? Iced tea.
15. CHERRIES or GRAPES? Grapes. Don't like cherries.
16. CHOCOLATE QUIK or STRAWBERRY QUIK? If I have to pick, then chocolate, but I prefer my milk ice cold and straight up.
17. WAFFLES or PANCAKES? Generally pancakes, but again, it depends on my mood.
18. WHITE BREAD or WHOLE-GRAIN/WHEAT BREAD? Depends. I prefer whole grain to eat as bread, but french toast and garlic bread just aren't the same unless it is white.
19. PEAS or CARROTS? Cooked? Peas. Raw? Carrots.
20. PUDDING or FRUIT-FLAVORED GELATIN? Pudding. Jell-o gives me the willies.
21. COLD CEREAL or HOT CEREAL? Generally, cold, but some days, there is just nothing like a hot bowl of cream of wheat.
22. KETCHUP or MUSTARD? Ketchup. Mustard on Krystal burgers only.
23. MUSTARD or MAYONNAISE? Mayo.
24. MAYONNAISE or KETCHUP? Usually both! On my burgers at least.

31. CHINESE TAKE-OUT or PIZZA? Usually pizza.
32. SUSHI or DELI SANDWICH? Deli.
33. WHITE CLAM CHOWDER or RED CLAM CHOWDER? If I have to choose, then white, but I don't particularly care for either.
34. KEY LIME PIE or LEMON MERANGUE PIE? Key Lime. I don't like meringue (or lemon, really, for that matter).
35. PIE & ICE CREAM or CAKE & ICE CREAM? Neither. I don't like my ice cream to mingle with other desserts.
36. WHIPPED CREAM or CAKE FROSTING? Depends on the application. If you mean on my cake? Then cake frosting, preferably my mom's decorating icing recipe.
37. HONEY or MAPLE SYRUP? Maple syrup. Never cared much for honey.

In my hidey-hole

Sorry, y'all, I'm sort of hiding from the world right now. Not much to say, not doing much, still feelingn lost at work. So I'll do a few memes over the next few days, and I'll start with Krista's latest. It's about half scrapping, half not.

1. Name your two favorite scrapbooking topics:
Luke, my family.

2. Where are the two best places you’ve been to?
Walt Disney World, Germany

3. Name two things you do every day:
Say "I love you" to my husband and son, eat.

4. Tell us two things that pretty much everyone knows about you:
I love movies, and I have red hair.

5. Tell us two things that everyone DOESN’T know about you:
I hate this kind of question! I'll tell you pretty much anything, so I'm not sure who knows what about me, and I never can remember what I've said in the past (and I hate repeating myself). Um, uh, er.... My first car was a station wagon (that I actually liked driving), and I love forensics shows (prefer the real case file type programs, but CSI is fine too).

6. Tell us two things that got you into the hobby of scrapping:
Jacob's PhD graduation, and Melissa's Christmas card from a few years ago.

7. Tell us two things that you want to accomplish in the next six months:
Survive two trips in six weeks (one of which is going to be very long, travel-wise), and get better at my job.

8. Name your two favorite scrapping tools:
Computer, external hard drive. (Does Snapfish count?) If you mean products, then templates and ribbons.

9. Name your two favorite sources of scrapping inspiration:
Other people's layouts, and the photos themselves.

10. How has your scrapping changed since you started?
Templates! I love them. And just the depth and reality of the elements.

11. What scrapbooking project have you yet to try but would love to?
A Shutterfly book.

The Maytags have landed

Washer and dryer were delivered at 8:15 AM this morning (no, I'm not kidding!). Already washed and dried two loads of clothes! LOL It is possible I am imagining things, but my jeans sure do seem cleaner than the old washer got them. Now we just need to get accustomed to a dramatically more efficient dryer and re-adjust our thinking on how long things take to dry. It will take some experimenting, but I'm sure we'll figure it out.

I'm not up for much else today. How about a meme? I bookmarked this on Stasha's blog ages ago, but I'm just now getting to it.

1.) Grab the book nearest to you, turn to page 18, and find line 4.

Now what? LOL I had to go all the way into the living room to find one, sheesh! The computer area is the denizen of DH; books are scarce. The only other book was one of Luke's, and it didn't have 18 pages in it to start with. I suppose I should type it here, yes? "dueling rather than through reasoned discussion. However" From Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.

2.) Stretch your left arm out as far as you can. What can you reach?

Well, the book right now. Before I brought that in here, it would have been the neon green chair (one of a pair) I inherited from my grandmother. In the chair is a LEGO catalog and an empty Office Depot bag (formerly containing the replacement black ink cartridge for the printer).

3.) What is the last thing you watched on TV?

Weatherscan. Not sure that counts, though. The last thing we watched on "live" television (i.e. not recorded on the DVR) was CSI:NY. The last thing I watched from the DVR was Blue's Clues this morning with Luke before school. (Last "real" thing we watched from the DVR was CSI from last night.)

4.) Without looking guess what time it is?

3 PM

5.) Now look at the clock. What is the actual time?

3:03 PM. Need to wake up DH from his nap. Oh, and pack!

6.) With the exception of the computer, what can you hear?

The air conditioner. That's really all. DH and all cats are asleep, and the neighborhood is pretty quiet at present. No dogs or trains or anything! LOL

7.) When did you last step outside? What were you doing?

About an hour ago to finish a cell conversation with my best friend.

8.) Before you started this survey, what did you look at?

Bloglines

9.) What are you wearing?

Jeans, embroidered t-shirt, sneakers.

10.) Did you dream last night?

Seems like I did, but I don't recall what about right now.

11.) When did you last laugh?

While on the phone with my best friend.

12.) What are on the walls you are in?

Cobwebs! And I do mean real ones, not the fake ones for Halloween. I have a whole stack of art prints sitting right here, leaning against the wall (does that count? LOL), but I've never gotten around to hanging them. Two Disney Villains Maleficent drawings, a watercolor painting of the St. Simons Island lighthouse, a Walt Disney World lithograph, matching sun and moon prints, and a print of Norman Rockwell's painting of the three umpires.

13.) Seen anything weird lately?

Nothing especially comes to mind.

14.) What do you think of this quiz?

I think it is refreshingly different from most.

15.) What was the last film you saw?

At home: The Queen. At the theater? Um, Transformers? I think that was the last thing we saw. We're so sad!! I miss the movies!

16.) If you became a multi-millionaire overnight, what would you buy?

Does repayment of our student loans count? We're almost done with those as it is. Should be finished, if not by the end of this year, then early next year. After that, a house, then a car.

17.) Tell me something about you that I don't know?

I'm so boring, I can't think of anything right now.

18.) If you could change one thing about the world, regardless of guilt and politics, what would it be?

Stop the hate.

19.) Do you like to dance?

In my car, by myself, sometimes, maybe a little. Otherwise? No. I feel like I look way too stupid.

20.) George Bush

Is this a question? You know I don't do politics.

21.) Imagine your first child is a girl, what do you call her?

DH wanted Alyssa. I'm okay with that, but would prefer other things. Like Brenna, or Lydia. DH hated both of those. Guess it's a good thing we had a boy!

22.) Imagine your first child is a boy, what do you call him?

Well, we did call him Luke. If we had another one? Han! Or Chewie. (I'm kidding! I genuinely have no idea. Luke is the only name we came up with last time that we both liked. Guess we're done having kids then!)

23.) Would you ever consider living abroad?
No, not really.

24.) What do you want God to say when you reach the pearly gates?

Your family can't wait to see you!

Another Krista tag

I'm rather brain dead right now (long busy weekend, and it's been an even longer week at work so far, and it's only Wednesday!), and Krista tagged me ages ago, so I'll go on and do this meme.

Your Partner?
Wonderful, brilliant, patient, my best friend.

Your Mom?
Rocks.

Your Dad?
Also rocks.

Your favorite drink?
Coke or milk. Hard to pick.

In which room are you now?
Family room (watching the Braves actually score some runs for a change)

Not much to say

I don't really have anything much to say at the moment. I'm really tired, a combination of that minor medical issue of mine and the fact that I am definitely coming down with something. Movie Meme Update

Have to update two items. Never did remember what movie it is that people can't believe I've seen, though.

What’s your least favorite movie ever?
How could I possibly have forgotten Hulk?!! Terrible terrible terrible movie.

What song would you choose to be the theme song to the movie of your life story?
Apparently, there is a song about loving your life and your family just the way it is: "I Could Not Ask For More," by Edwin McCain. :)

Lyrics:
Lying here with you
Listening to the rain
Smiling just to see the smile upon your face
These are the moments I thank God that I'm alive
These are the moments I'll remember all my life
I found all I've waited for
And I could not ask for more
Looking in your eyes
Seeing all I need
Everything you are is everything to me
These are the moments
I know heaven must exist
These are the moments I know all I need is this
I have all I've waited for
And I could not ask for more

Chorus
I could not ask for more than this time together
I could not ask for more than this time with you
Every prayer has been answered
Every dream I have's come true
And right here in this moment is right where I'm meant to be
Here with you here with me

These are the moments I thank God that I'm alive
These are the moments I'll remember all my life
I've got all I've waited for
And I could not ask for more

Chorus

I could not ask for more than the love you give me 'Coz it's all I've waited for
And I could not ask for more
I could not ask for more
